Catalog description

This course examines advanced clinical practice within organizational and systems contexts, with students focusing on a selected area of interest that addresses the needs of a specific population or community. Emphasis is placed on applying evidence-based approaches to improve care delivery in response to current organizational, cultural, political, and economic factors. Students will explore strategies to support quality improvement and address health disparities, with attention to integrating social determinants of health (SDOH) into care planning. The course highlights interprofessional collaboration in managing complex clinical and ethical challenges. Learners will develop skills to contribute to practice improvement, support equitable care, and enhance person-centered outcomes across diverse populations.
