Catalog description

This course provides a culminating experience for students to integrate and apply their knowledge, skills, and professional competencies in dietetic practice while preparing for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) exam. Students will engage in targeted review sessions, practice exams, and exam preparation strategies to ensure readiness for the RDN credentialing exam. Students will continue resume and portfolio updates and preparation for job placement upon graduation. Additionally, this is the final course in students’ capstone project and provides the opportunity for students to complete research, design and presentation of their capstone project. This project is to emphasize the synthesis of evidence-based information, needs analysis, identified target population and policy or program design to address a determined nutrition need promoting health equity and social justice. Guided by faculty mentors, students will present their projects in a professional setting, demonstrating their expertise and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the field of nutrition and dietetics.
