Catalog description

This mid-point seminar is a critical stage in the development and refinement of students’ capstone projects, serving as a bridge between initial research and final presentation. The course focuses on advancing project work through in-depth research, needs analysis, and the identification of target populations. Students will refine their proposed policies or programs to address a specific nutrition-related need, emphasizing evidence-based solutions that promote health equity and social justice. Guided by faculty mentors, students will receive feedback and make iterative improvements to their projects. This course prepares students for the final stages of their capstone work, ensuring that their projects demonstrate professional expertise and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the field of nutrition and dietetics.
