Public Health Nutrition

Catalog description

This course will cover nutrition principles including disease prevention and management from a global and community perspective. This includes programs and policies related to food access, food insecurity and hunger at local, state, and federal levels. The course reviews considerations such as social determinants of health with regards to program applications and feasibility when serving diverse populations and unique nutrition needs.
