Catalog description
This course provides both a framework and the tools necessary to analyze, evaluate and interpret financial information. Both theoretical and practical perspectives of corporate finance will be introduced addressing three main functions of financial management - financial statement analysis (i.e ratios), investment decision making (i.e. capital budgeting) and financing decision making (i.e. cost of capital, capital structure, dividend policy). Students will analyze financial information to determine how choices reflect the underlying economics of the organization.
