Catalog description

Human Resource Management deals with a wide range of activities by which organizations (both profit and nonprofit) acquire, maintain, and utilize their workforce. In this course, students examine fundamental issues shaping our increasingly global economy and diverse organizations in terms of Human Resources (HR). These issues include investing in people (training and development), measurement and incentives (compensation - fixed and variable), and tapping potential employees (recruitment and selection). Students will consider how HR assists the company in reaching its mission, goals, and strategies.
