This seminar is designed to explore historical and contemporary theories regarding the source, nature, and development of creativity. We will focus on examining the creative person, process, product, and environment by viewing these through the eyes of creative individuals themselves as well as through those of the most eminent theorists, philosophers, and researchers. In a seminar, as you know, the students are major contributors to the actual course of study and, as such, bear greater responsibility for the direction and discussion of thought that take place. Participation is not just important but critical to success. Given the content of the course, that should not be a difficulty, but let me encourage you to engage deeply with the material and your fellow learners in addressing some of the provocative questions inherent in the subject of creativity.
