Practicum: Sch Change Nature-based Edu

Catalog description

This practicum is for early childhood professionals who wish to initiate change in the schools, programs, or communities in which they work. The aim is to increase children’s access to nature and to expand their opportunities for outdoor play and learning. In consultation with your advisor, you will engage in a cycle of inquiry in which you identify aspects of your curriculum, site, teaching practice or administrative approach to address. You’ll then gather relevant resources, plan and implement specific changes, and evaluate the success of your efforts. The practicum encourages collegial exchange, and is designed to be carried out in the context of whatever natural professional learning communities already exist in your school, program, or community.
