Catalog description

The purpose of the internship is to provide students with the opportunity to apply academic learning and skills in a practical setting for two semesters. While all students will complete some amount of counseling as part of their internship, they choose one of the four content areas (Teaching, Supervision, Research, or Leadership & Advocacy) in each semester. Students complete an internship experience of 600 hours with three different content areas, including counseling. In this course, students receive group supervision and weekly individual or triadic supervision to understand roles and responsibilities as a part of a learning community.
