This course provides doctoral students with a comprehensive framework for researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating counseling programs in educational and community-based organizational settings. This course challenges students to critically examine the role of counselor educators and leaders in creating equitable, accessible, and culturally responsive programs and community initiatives. Grounded in research and advocacy leadership models, students will examine the role of counselor educators and leaders in creating inclusive, sustainable, and participant-informed programs that meet the needs of underserved communities. The course includes an in-depth exploration of program evaluation models, administrative responsibilities in counseling and educational settings, and accreditation standards. Through both theoretical study and experiential learning, students will develop leadership and consultation strategies that promote systemic change and support ethical, effective program delivery. Emphasis is placed on understanding the systemic factors that influence client outcomes, developing programs that promote social and global equity, and utilizing research-driven evaluation to assess the impact of these programs.
