This course explores art therapy practice environments, from historical antecedents to ongoing developments, emphasizing how organizational missions, physical settings, and technologically mediated spaces shape client care. Students will examine ecological and systemic influences on art therapy, integrating theory with engagement practices across individual, group, family, and community contexts. The course also highlights diverse therapeutic models, ethical considerations, and intercultural responsiveness while providing opportunities to understand and apply technologically mediated practices.
