Catalog description

This advanced course prepares students to address complex and nuanced sexual health concerns through trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive approaches. The curriculum emphasizes working with historically excluded populations, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, and those impacted by systemic oppression and sexual trauma. Students will refine their clinical assessment, intervention, and treatment planning skills while critically examining the ethical dimensions of their work. The course includes intensive case consultations, collaborative peer learning, and a capstone project that integrates advanced theoretical knowledge with inclusive, justice-oriented clinical practices.
