NUR120, NUR140, NUR160, NUR181, NUR191, NUR221, NUR231, NUR261 This course prepares the professional nurse to become the provider of care to children and their families. The course includes the stages in human growth, psychological development, nutritional, social, and cultural needs from birth to adolescence. Critical thinking in applying the nursing process is reinforced in delivering nursing care to culturally diverse children and families in different environments. Emphasis is made on the nurse's role as a healthcare provider, teacher, manager, and communicator. The course is structured to provide clinical application and evaluation in pediatric- related nursing skills.
