Catalog description

Advisory: Completion of WELD 265. Prerequisite: Completion of WELD 130, 135, and 137. This course is designed for the student who seeks employment in the welding industry and has prior training in their selected welding process. Students can choose to specialize in one of the following processes: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Provides advanced instruction to improve skills and techniques, with more in-depth coverage of advanced techniques than in previous classes. Emphasizes preparation for employment and certification in the welding industry. (CSU, AVC)
