Introduction to Playwriting

This course explores the basics of analyzing play scripts and the various components within scripts such as: plot, theme, character, language, and setting. The course also investigates techniques used to determine how to critically read scripts for dramatic structure and also guide students in a discovery of production alternatives for all artists: directors, actors, designers, etc. (C-ID: THTR 114) (UC, CSU, AVC)
