Catalog description
Prerequisite: Completion of Intermediate Algebra or higher or placement by multiple measures. This course will cover the common traditional statistical methods taught in a beginning course using the statistical software R. Course will include statistical reporting of results using R-markdown authoring in the R-Studio program. The use of probability techniques, hypothesis testing, and predictive techniques to facilitate decision-making. Topics include descriptive statistics; probability and sampling distributions; statistical inference; correlation and linear regression; analysis of variance, chi square and t tests. (UC, CSU, AVC)
