Catalog description

This course guides students in the use of the internet as an essential tool for academic research. Topics covered include efficient use of search engines, history and evolution of online search tools, evaluation of internet sources (including Wikipedia, social media and AI) and applying these tools to support college-level research. The course also explores continuing emergent technologies and their impact on the research process, helping students adapt to the changing landscape of digital information. (CSU, AVC)
