Catalog description

This “AI Essentials” noncredit course is for community college students who are motivated to develop practical, broadly applicable knowledge of generative artificial intelligence (AI), strengthening individuals’ readiness to use and navigate emerging AI technologies — for college assignments and future employment prospects alike. In order to facilitate ongoing development concurrent with imminent advancements in AI, course contents will be structured according to key categories and core characteristics, including (1) Dynamic Tools and Concepts; (2) Adaptive Communication and Prompt Engineering/Dialogue with AI; (3) Information Literacy, Ethics, and Authenticity; and (4) Creative Applications/Projects.
