Catalog description
Integration and application of principles of sound nutrition and physical activities to optimize the physiological, psychosocial, and social lifelong development of the individual and the use of scientific principles and current advances to help assess and evaluate physical fitness, body composition dietary patterns, energy expenditure, and their relationships. This course is designed for the student pursuing a career in the fitness industry; Fitness Specialists, Coaching of Sport, Sport and Performance Coach, and Community Health Worker, as well as those interested in furthering their understanding of the effects of nutrition on the mind and body.
