Catalog description
This course will survey the history and culture of Latin America and the Caribbean. Emphasis is placed on understanding the history and culture of the area. A study will be done on the historical development of the area and its indigenous population. A general study will be done on the geography of the area. Discussion will be done on European contact and its impact on the people of the area. A contemporary look at the region will be explored. (UC, CSU, AVC)
