Contemporary U.S. History: From Vietnam to Iraq

Catalog description

Examines U.S. foreign policy from the end of World War II until the War on Terrorism. Students will examine, analyze, and evaluate the ideas, theories, themes and interrelationships that occurred during the period the U.S. was involved in Vietnam, and how our involvement there effected U.S. foreign policies and practices after the end of the Cold War. Finally, students will examine and evaluate the issue of terrorism and the events to led to the U.S. invasion of Iraq and analyze the similarities and differences between Vietnam and Iraq.
