Physical Geology Lab

Catalog description

Prerequisite: Completion of or concurrent enrollment in GEOL 101 or GEOL 101H. Completion of Intermediate Algebra or higher or placement by multiple measures. Physical Geology Laboratory provides students with hands-on identification of rocks and minerals, as well as topographic and geologic map exercises demonstrating the work of water, wind, ice and gravity and effects of tectonic activity. Students who took GEOL 101 more than two years previously should consider auditing GEOL 101. (C-ID: GEOL 100L) (UC, CSU, AVC)
