Advisory: Completion of CS 110, CS 120, CS 121, or CS 122. This course offers hands-on experience with Arduino microcontrollers, empowering students to unleash their creativity in hardware development. Through a blend of lectures and lab sessions, students explore essential topics such as breadboarding, wiring, pins, connectors, jumpers, LEDs, servos, and power delivery, laying the groundwork for understanding microcontroller architecture and functionality. Additionally, students learn soldering techniques for wire and board connections, enhancing their practical skills in hardware assembly and modification. Delving into microcontroller fundamentals, students gain insights into function, components, and power delivery mechanisms, paving the way for advanced project development. With a focus on introductory programming, students explore language choices and fundamental constructs in Arduino, including syntax, variables, expressions, control structures, and functions, enabling them to bring their hardware projects to life through code. By the end of the course, students emerge equipped with the knowledge and skills to embark on exciting microcontroller-based projects. (R unlimited)
