This course blends theory with hands-on experience using robotics kits. Students delve into essential robotics components such as main boards, frames, sensors, and motors, gaining insight into power delivery systems crucial for robot functionality. Through a combination of lectures and lab sessions, students explore introductory programming concepts, including block coding and script coding, to facilitate simple motion and sensing capabilities in their robots. Engaging in introductory projects focused on motion and sensing, students apply their newfound knowledge in practical scenarios, honing their problem-solving skills and laying the groundwork for future advancements in robotics.
