Catalog description
This course is designed to introduce students to the profession of teaching through lecture and observation of K–12 private & public schools. The major aspects of the teaching profession and the diversity of the public school system are examined and discussed, and students gain experience in all three levels of the K–12 system. This course is intended for students considering a career in teaching; 45 hours of structured fieldwork is required. A current TB clearance might be required for field experiences. (UC, CSU, AVC)
