Principles of Macroeconomics - Honors

Catalog description
An introductory course using models of the domestic and international economy to understand national income, unemployment, inflation, economic growth, inequality, the financial system, and monetary, fiscal, and other economic policies. This is an honors course. Prerequisite: Placement as determined by the college’s multiple measures assessment process or completion of a course taught at or above the level of elementary algebra. The honors course provides more content and requires greater intensity and depth of study than the non-honors course. Honors students complete advanced analysis of scholarly or professional macroeconomic literature, interpretation of domestic and international macroeconomic data, and an independent macroeconomic research or policy paper/project. Note: Students may either take ECON C2002 Principles of Macroeconomics or ECON C2002H Principles of Macroeconomics Honors. Duplicate credit will not be awarded.
