Advanced Tap Dance

Catalog description

Advisory: Completion of DA 125 or at least two years of tap dance experience. This course is a continuation of intermediate tap dance, focusing on advanced level combinations and rhythmic structures. It will further expand the study of tap styles, tap dance history, and tap performance. Compositional forms and rhythms are practiced leading to an understanding and appreciation of tap as an artistic dance form. Note: For successful completion of this course, student will need to acquire their own tap shoes and have access to a hardwood floor or tap board. (UC, CSU, AVC)
