Dance around the world is studied in its cultural and social context. Analyzes similarities and differences among dance practices in reference to geographical zones, societal structures and values, religious practices, historical events, and other related art practices within the culture. Includes cultures from Africa, Asia, Europe, India, Latin America, Middle East, and North America, plus a focus on Southern California. (UC, CSU, AVC)
