Hip-Hop Dance

Catalog description

This course introduces the foundational elements of hip-hop dance including music, technique and vocabulary as well as various styles and sub-cultures. Students will gain a physical and cognitive understanding of body coordination, rhythm and musicality. Students will also be introduced to the historical context of hip-hop, which includes the development and co-evolution of its culture, music and dance. (CSU, AVC)
