Catalog description
A study of dance as it has evolved throughout history with an emphasis on western theatrical dancing. Introduces major concepts, approaches, and issues in the study of dance as a cultural, historical, and artistic practice. Uses text, audiovisual, demonstration, and performance to expose students to the prominent choreographers and performers who have influenced dance culturally, historically, and as an art form.
