Automotive Engine Performance

Catalog description

Prerequisite: Completion of AUTO 100 and AUTO 160. Theory and operation of electronic engine controls including: electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, onboard diagnostics, and current emission systems. Laboratory practice includes proper set up and use of digital storage oscilloscopes, scan tools, and various engine performance testing procedures. This course will help prepare students for certification tests in engine performance repair. (CSU, AVC)
