Exam - ines reading and writing processes, the development of reading and writing abilities and skills, theories and models of reading, assessment, remedial strategies, planning, and materials for the 4-8 literacy learn - ing environment. This course will emphasize phonological awareness, phonics/word analysis and decoding, vocabulary, fluency, and compre- hension. (Credit may not be earned for this course and Reading 3335.)
