This course will explore the current regional, state, national, and global is - sues and trends in health care and their effects on the delivery of physi- cal therapy services. The course will promote awareness of health care delivery systems, role and function of professional organizations, cul - tural competency, and other contemporary health care issues. Students will have a better understanding of health and wellness and the role of the physical therapist. Information will be provided to allow the student to develop skills to influence health and wellness at multiple levels (in - dividual, family, institution, community, etc).
