Ethics and Law in Counseling Psychology

Catalog description

This course will examine ethics and the law for the licensed professional counselor. Particular areas of focus will include current board rule, re - cords management, business and family law, criminal law, competency, adult and child protective services, expert testimony, and courtroom decorum. In addition, legal aspects of evaluation, consultation, profes- sional recommendations, fiduciary relationships, and liability will be examined.
