Communicating with the Spanish-Speaking Patient

This course is designed to develop basic conversational skills necessary to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and their families. Students will acquire a basic linguistic and cultural foundation enabling them to interview and manage patients of all ages in a variety of clinical settings using Spanish; to take a history and perform a physi- cal exam using Spanish-speaking populations.
