Catalog description

This course allows students hands- on passive applications of tracking an e-mail or attack to its potential source. Students trace hackers, spammers, and attackers, using open- source applications, websites., and other classes taught in Intelligence and Analysis and Border Security. Target Analysis demonstrates to the students; every e-mail has identifiable elements that can be used to trace an entity to its source while keeping the student’s computers in a safe environment. The class will be divided into groups allowing students the hands-on experience they might encounter in a Fusion Center. The course culminates in a final Intelligence briefing on a specific target in an unclassified setting .
