Catalog description

This course ex - plores the ethical, social, legal, and policy implications of artificial in- telligence (AI) and machine-learning technologies. As AI systems in - creasingly influence decision-making in such vital areas as intelligence and analysis, healthcare, national security, business, criminal justice, finance, and employment, understanding their ethical dimensions is critical. Students will examine key topics including algorithmic bias, privacy, surveillance, accountability, transparency, and the future of work. The course combines critical inquiry with real-world case studies and policy analysis to equip students with the tools to assess the impact of AI on individuals and society.
