Stu - dents learn to apply GIS, remote sensing, and computational tools to geologic and environmental problems. The course covers machine learning, AI, and coding for spatial analysis, image classification, and modeling. Emphasis is placed on managing and analyzing large datas- ets used in geophysical, hydrogeological, and geospatial investigations, with skills transferable to fields such as environmental consulting, ur - ban planning, oil and gas, criminal justice, natural resource manage - ment, public health, agriculture, and cybersecurity.
