Transformative Advocacy and Impact

Catalog description

This course develops the knowledge and skills needed for effective advocacy at com- munity and state levels. Students will examine how social movements and advocacy organizations influence policy and practice, while analyz- ing strategies and tactics used to organize constituencies, build coali - tions, and achieve impact. Emphasis is placed on engaging, informing, and influencing decision-makers, fellow advocates, and the broader community.
