Catalog description

This course explores the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques in both defensive and offensive cybersecurity. Students will learn how to leverage AI-driven approaches for identifying and mitigating network anomalies, detecting sophisticated malware, and enhancing adaptive threat response mechanisms. Topics include the use of machine learn - ing and deep learning in intrusion detection, adversarial machine learn- ing, and the application of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) in cybersecurity scenarios. The course also covers reinforcement learn- ing for dynamic defense, AI-based threat hunting, automated security incident response, and penetration testing. Students will gain practical experience in evaluating the effectiveness of AI models in cybersecurity
