Angelo State University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
The Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) topics cover how to anticipate, prepare for, handle, and recover from cyber security inter- ruptions that may affect business operations. In the event of a natural disaster, a cyberattack, or other disruptive incident, students will learn how to minimize downtime, preserve sensitive data, and continue es- sential business operations. This course also walks through three crucial protection plans: a disaster recovery plan (DRP), a business continuity plan (BCP), and a business impact analysis (BIA), responding to simu- lated, real-world cyber attacks and gaining a better understanding of the importance of information sharing during cyber incidents.
