This course will examine factors that contribute to psychological disorders across the life-span through the exploration of the types and causes of mental disorders, their assessment, treatment to include a basic knowl- edge of psychopharmacology medications, and related research for the disorders as it is represented in the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, current edition.
