Catalog description

Maritime ports of entry and defense of the U.S. coastal waters are the primary focus of this seminar. Students evaluate the vulnerability of maritime ports to disruption and attack. Applying risk management theory, students critically analyze current efforts to identify the vulner- abilities of ports and their associated transportation infrastructure. Ef - forts to provide security along U.S. coasts are discussed from a historical perspective through the post-9/11 era.
