Catalog description

Computational Biological Analysis is an online course for any STEM program, requir - ing no prior programming knowledge. It provides an introduction to Python, a programming language essential for diverse biological re - search areas, including data handling, metadata extraction, specific bio- logical analyses, and artificial intelligence applications. The course cov- ers Python fundamentals such as variable manipulation and data types and introduces multiple modules for varied biological applications. By the end of the semester, students will have a comprehensive understand- ing of Python, equipping them with the skills to explore various bio - logical fields and computational methods, whether in research or other applications.
