Catalog description
Study of the fundamentals related to human anatomy and physiology, the organization of body structure at the chemical and cellular level, tissues, regulatory organs and body rhythms. The structures and functions of the skeletal, nervous, muscular and endocrine system, and the integumentary, circulatory, immuno logical, respiratory, digestive, excretory, and human reproductive systems are integrated. Emphasis is placed on the development of critical thinking skills, knowledge, and competencies that allow the student to identify and explain the structure and funct ioning of the human body, diverse conditions and applicable treatments. These competencies are developed through lectures and demonstrations.
