Catalog description
Study of the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary in the field of surgical instrumentation in order to provide quality care to the patient: before, during and after the surgical procedure. Emphasis is placed on the development of knowledge, skills and abilities of critical thinking applied to patient management, management of the surgical scenario and the management of instruments and equipment. These competencies are developed through lectures and laboratory exercises, which allow the student to intervene effectively in the preoperative preparation, instrumentation to the surgeon and post -operative management of contaminated materials and equipment. In addition, to maintain aseptic techniques at all times in the operative process to avoid infections in the surgical patient. It also facilitates the development of communication skills and technological skills.
