ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF SPEECH AND LANGUAGE

Catalog description

This course is designed to give an understanding and appreciation of the complexity of the anatomy and physiology that is used in the production and speech perception and language as well as anatomy and physiology of swallowing. This knowledge will provide a framework for understanding the pathophysiology of these structures and provides a basis for how and where to intervene when attemp ting to treat or compensate for unusual processes in speech production, language, hearing, and swallowing.
