Catalog description

First part of the final component of the training program in school and infant psychology. It consists of 600 hours of field experience in an approved practice center in order for the student to demonstrate, under supervision, their ability to integrate the knowledge, skills and competencies required to offer a wide spectrum of psychological services in the school environment. This experience provides the student the opportunity to work with diverse populations, a range of educational, behavioral, and social issues, and the different types of service programs that us e the various intervention methodologies. The emphasis of Internship I is the infant, child or youth in school or home.
