Catalog description

Analysis of quantitative models, methods, instruments and procedures used to obtain information about the cognitive and academic strengths and needs of students, including aspects related to development, school and family environment, as well as the influence of sociocultural aspects on learning. Emphasis on the theoretical and conceptual application of the tools of psychometrics, development, learning, motivation, principles of psychological assessment and measurement, and statistics to practical experience with infants and students in a specific context or situation. Through the content, the competencies of prevention and intervention, consulting and collaboration, measurement and diagnostic evaluation according to appropriate development practices are developed to offer individual and systemic services that are necessary for research and evidence -based professional practice. The student must demonstrate graduate oral and written communication skills and the skills to retrieve, evaluate, and use information ethically and with responsibility. .
