ADVANCED SEMINAR ON AUGMENTATIVE AND ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION (CAA)

Catalog description

This course discusses critical problems in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) with a focus on the planning, implementation and evaluation of intervention strategies. By critically evaluating current literature, students will gain an understanding of AAC strategies with empirical support for specific clinical populations. Students will also participate in academic debates on new technologies, re cent trends and legal implications of the provision of AAC services.
